The movie follows Maddie Barker, a 32-year-old Uber driver and bartender who is facing bankruptcy and loses her car. Maddie finds a posting on Craigslist looking for a woman to “date” Percy, the shy 19-year-old son of a wealthy couple, to prepare him for college in exchange for their Buick. Although confused, she agrees and attempts to seduce him without much success initially.
As the two grow closer, Percy opens up to Maddie, and he begins to fall in love with her and decides to change his plans for the future. His parents are blindsided, and Maddie must figure out how to change Percy’s mind once again, attempting to keep a huge secret from him while still struggling with her own financial troubles.
