I never had emotions until I was 28 years – Prince Harry

Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry has revealed he was unable to feel or cry after his mother’s death until he was 28 years old.

In a Netflix Series dubbed Sussex’s Heart Of Invictus, Harry said his emotions were sprayed all over the wall everywhere he went.

“I was like, how the hell do I contain this?” he said.

“And it wasn’t until later in my life aged 28 there was a circumstance that happened that the first few bubbles started coming out and then suddenly it was like someone shook and it went ‘poof’.. and then it was chaos.”

The father of two was having a discussion with Darrell Ling as they were competing in games.

Harry also stated that he wasn’t aware that he was going through an unemotional phase due to the trauma he experienced after losing his mother Princess Diana at the age of 12.

“For all those years, I had no emotion, I was unable to cry, I was unable to feel. I didn’t know it at the time,” he continued.

“I’ve gone from nothing to everything and I now need to get a glass jar and put myself in it, put myself in it, leave the lid open and my therapist said ‘You choose what comes in and everything else bounces off.”

As Harry had shared a bit of what he had gone through, Ling also openly stated about his trauma saying he is glad Harry had been through all the stuff and understands how people feel.

“You get these things and you just got to take them off your shoulder.”
