Back-to-School Fines Forgiveness during September at West Plains Public Library





West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Public Library is having four weeks of fine-free service during the month of September 2023 to celebrate students going back to school. Not only will fines not accrue for the month, but all outstanding fines will be forgiven.

While past fines will be forgiven, there will still be charges for damaged items and a reimbursement fee for all items considered lost.

Richards Brothers Make Good

All items that have been sent to the prosecuting attorney will remain in process. If lost items are returned, those fines will be forgiven.

Please Note:

Return all items- No matter how long you have had them.

Stop in or call the library at (417) 256-4775 to let them know you have a fine.

No charges related to postage will be discharged, i.e. certified letters sent regarding fines.
